Hello FCC Oakland 6k team! We are so excited for the World Vision 6K Walk for Water on Saturday! 

The walk will begin at 10am. Arrive around 9:45 to check in and be ready to start when we ring the bells!

Parking is in the Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry lot where Mecartney Road dead ends into Adelphian Way. Or there is street parking along the park.
Check in table, snacks, and the Start/Finish line will be right next to the parking lot. Restrooms are also next to the lot.

- Bring your medal and wear your 6k shirt! Also bring your bib and safety pins in your race packet.

- Bring a reusable water bottle. We will have water jugs, but bring yours filled to start the walk.

- Wear sunscreen and hats!

- We will have water and light snacks, but bring any other fuel you need to walk 6k! (6k is about 3.7 miles)

- The walking path is flat but gravelly. Strollers and dogs welcome! 

- With the matching donation from the FCC Oakland Missions Board, we have exceeded our goal of $10,000!! That is clean water for 216 people!

- But it's not too late to keep fundraising! We will have Venmo and envelopes for donations at the event, or post links to your personal fundraising page on social media.
